FAQ'S
How do I get on and off the floats?
A member of staff will support you when getting on and off the floats. They’ll guide you into a safe and comfortable position, without you getting wet or falling in. The process is simple, quick and stress-free.
Are the floats safe?
Can they deflate? Floats are thoroughly checked before and during every event. We have staff in the pool, staff poolside and a lifeguard on duty at all times. While we can’t promise a float will never deflate, we would respond immediately if it happened.
I can’t swim, can I still come?
Yes, depending on your swimming ability and our risk assessment. If you attend, we’ll keep you in the shallow end at all times and staff will closely monitor you to ensure your safety.
I have a health condition, can I attend?
All participants must complete a waiver form and Health form before attending. If your condition meets our safety criteria, you’re welcome to join us.
Can I attend while pregnant?
Unfortunately, no. While some sound practitioners welcome pregnant participants, we prefer to err on the side of caution. Lying flat for long periods and entering/exiting the pool can present risks during pregnancy. We’d be delighted to welcome you once you’ve reached the postnatal period.
Is there an age limit to attend your sound baths?
Both our sound baths on Land and Water are open to participants aged 17-70. If you’re 17-18, we’ll need prior consent from a parent or guardian, either through written permission if they’re not attending, or given in advance if they will be joining you. For those 16 or under, we’re really sorry but we’re unable to welcome you at this time, as our insurance doesn’t allow it. We hope to see you at a future stage of your journey when you’re able to join us.
What happens in a session?
We begin with a meditation to help you settle in, followed by sound healing using instruments like Reiki drums, Tibetan bells, Tibetan bowls, Wind Gong, and crystal singing bowls amongst others. If Reiki is included, this will be provided this during the sound healing. Sessions finish with a gentle meditation, sometimes followed by the option to take a dip in the pool or be assisted out.
What if I need the toilet during a session?
Session time in the pool lasts between 60–90 minutes . If you need to use the toilet or require assistance at any time, just raise your hand and the staff member in the pool will come to help you. What should I wear to a sound bath on water? Airbeds: We recommend comfortable clothing that allows you to relax. You may wear also wear swimwear if you'd like to take a short dip in the water after the session. Hammocks: Swimwear is required as the hammocks are partially immersed in water. Please arrive freshly showered at home with clean skin and no lotions, oils, deodorant or make up. This helps us maintain the highest pool hygiene standards requested for this particular session and we greatly appreciate your cooperation.
What is the weight limit for the sound bath on water hammocks?
Our water hammocks are only used at our Sound Bath on Water in Welwyn. For safety and comfort each hammock has a manufacturers weight limit of 100kg. If you are over this limit, our hammock flotations are unfortunately unable to provide adequate support. We kindly invite you to join us at one of our locations with airbed options instead, where you can enjoy the same deeply relaxing sound bath experience. Thank you for your understanding.
What should I bring?
Bring water, swimwear and a towel (if you’re going into the pool afterwards). Pillows, blankets and eye masks are all provided however you are welcome to bring additional comforts if you wish. What if I fall asleep or snore? Don’t worry! The soothing sounds of water, instruments, and nature (if outdoors) will mask any noises. You can relax completely.
